The purpose of this video is to help you with the EVR form specifically for the surviving spouse. I will guide you through the form step-by-step. The form will come partially completed, and I will indicate the spots where the VA has already filled out. We will go through the form line by line. In the first section, your name, address, and VA file number will already be listed. We will proceed to section 1, which asks for your social security number. The VA will have a number already filled in. You need to confirm if it is correct, and if not, cross it out and write the correct number next to it.
